Who are Proline Travel and Tourism travellers?
Proline Travel and Tourism adventures are for travellers with a yearning to get off the beaten track. Whether you’re travelling solo, with a group of friends, or are aged 18 or 70, there is an Proline Travel and Tourism adventure to suit your interests and comfort level. Each Proline Travel and Tourism adventure has a physical and cultural grading to help you decide if the trip is right for you. No special skills are required for most adventures, just a sense of adventure and a curiosity about the world. Even on our camping adventures no previous experience is required; our tents are easy to set up, even for first-time campers.

How many people will be on my trip?
Good things come in small packages, which is why we keep our group sizes down. This means we’re small enough to remain flexible as we thread our way through communities without intimidating the locals. On most of our trips you’ll be part of an intimate group of 12-16 people, though our group sizes are on average 10 people. Our Overland trips are in purpose-built vehicles that can carry up to 24 travellers. Group sizes are displayed on each trip’s overview page on our website.

Are there age restrictions on your trips?
For the majority of our trips the minimum age is 15. An adult must accompany all children under the age of 18. Our Overland Adventures have a minimum age of 18. Younger children can join us on our Family trips and Short Break Adventures, but check each trip for its minimum age, which is located on the trip’s overview page on the website. Most of our trips don’t have a maximum age limit, but a Self-Assessment Form is required for all passengers 70 years and over.

I’m travelling alone – is that OK?
This is the beauty of the Proline Travel and Tourism style of travel: many of our travellers join because they are travelling solo and want to meet and share experiences with like-minded people. Find out more

If I am travelling solo, will I be charged a single supplement?
As a solo traveller, you will be paired up with another passenger of the same gender as per your passport information. If you’re not comfortable sharing a room with someone of the same gender, you also have the choice to pay for a single supplement (available on the majority of our trips).

If you don’t identify with the gender assigned on your passport, please let us know at time of booking and we’ll arrange the rooming configuration accordingly.

Room types

Can we book a triple room?
Depending on the trip style you choose, our trips are organised on a twin, triple or multishare basis. As our bookings are made well in advance, individual room requests can’t be guaranteed.

Can I book a single room?
You can book pre and post accommodation on a single basis; however, throughout your Proline Travel and Tourism trip, rooming is organised on a twin-share basis. Some trips do have a single supplement available – check a trip’s overview page on our website, or their Trip Notes, to see whether a single supplement is offered. If so, please request this at the time of booking.

Food, drink and dietary requirements

I have special dietary requirements – will they be catered for?
We will try our very hardest to accommodate all dietary requirements but in some out-of-the-way places it can be very difficult to guarantee. We will let you know if there are places on your itinerary where this is the case. Please let us know at the time of booking of any food requirements or allergies and we’ll pass the information onto your leader. It is also a great idea to bring a card with your dietary requirements written in the local language for those times you are eating away from the group.

What will the food be like on my trip?
Food is one of the most exciting parts of travel. There may be some familiar fare but often you’ll be confronted with the new, interesting and downright weird of the culinary world but we like to think of it as an adventure for all the senses. In addition to this, our flexible itineraries often allow you to eat with the group or branch out on your own – this means you can eat to suit any budget or desire.

Can I drink the water in the countries I visit?
In some destinations it may not be wise to drink the local water. For more details, you can find country-specific information in our fantastic Destination Pages, which can be found in the red menu bar at the top of our home page, or by going to the belo and then choosing the destination you are travelling to.

Hotel Booking

Can I book room(s) for a group of people?

At one time you can book 5 rooms for approx. 15 guests with proline.co. If the members are, more you can share the request with the details of the guest on support@proline.co or call on +96176661700 .

What should be the minimum stay duration while booking the hotel?

Hotel bookings on proline.co should be made for a minimum of one night.

How can I be assured of my hotel reservation?

While booking the hotel you will get a confirmation status on your screen. Alternatively, you can log in to your proline.co account and view the confirmation status, you will also receive an email with the details of the hotel and confirmation status.

Once the hotel booking is done, should I re-confirm the booking with the hotel?

Once you have received a booking confirmation from proline.co, you need not confirm with the hotel. However if you want, any further assistance you can call us on +971 4562 9555 or Toll-Free UAE: 800 255 2645.

I have just made a hotel reservation on proline.co and I have not yet received the confirmation number.

Some hotels take around 24 hours for confirmation. If it takes more than 24 hours, please contact our travel expert on support@proline.co or call on +96176661700.

I have entered an incorrect email id while booking the hotel; hence, I have not received a confirmation email. What should I do?

How can I find out more about the hotel?

Once you have entered your desired city and date of stay, a list of all the hotels will appear. Choose the one that best fits your budget and all the details regarding the hotel will be provided on the screen. E.g. property address, facilities, transportation and other necessary details.

What is the difference between a twin room and a double room?

A twin room comprises of two separate queen size bed and a double room will comprise of a single King size bed.

What are the different modes of payment on proline.co?

Payment on proline.co can be made through both debit & credit card. You can pay through your PayPal & Discover Network account and through MasterCard, Visa Card, and American Express.

Am I supposed to show any document while check-in at the hotel?

You will have to show your government approved id proof while check-in at the hotel. However, this is optional and not a mandate for all countries and certain hotels.

Can I check-in early or checkout late?

The standard check-in time is 12 noon. However, the early check-in or late check-out option depends upon the hotel, many hotels allow the flexibility. Some hotels charge extra for early check-in and late check-out. You can contact the hotel to inquire about the same.

How can I change my hotel booking?

For refundable bookings, you will have to send us a request email on support@proline.co or call on +96176661700 along with the booking reference id. For the amendment you will have to pay the difference if applicable.

For non-refundable bookings you will have to cancel the existing booking and make a new booking (no refund is applicable).

How can I cancel my confirmed hotel booking?

You can cancel your confirmed hotel booking from your proline.co account. (Each hotel has a different cancellation policy and relevant charges may apply; please refer the policy before you cancel your booking.) You can also contact us on support@proline.co or call on +96176661700

Will I get a refund if I have not checked-in at the hotel?

You are not entitled to a refund if you do not show up at the hotel. However, your booking will be marked as “No show” (you will be entitled for refund as per hotel “no show” policy).

Upon cancelling my booking, within how many days will I get a refund?

The refund amount will be credited back to the same account from where the booking is done. proline.co generally processes the refund within 24 hours of the refund request, however, the time for the amount to get credited into your account depends on your bank, this could be anywhere from 4 to 15 days.

I have still not received my refund, what should I do?

proline.co processes the refund within 24 hours of the refund request, and the minimum time for the amount to get credited to your account is 4 days. If you have not received the refund beyond that, you will have to contact the relevant bank. Alternatively, you contact us on support@proline.co or call on +96176661700 to know the status.

Can you make the hotel booking on my behalf?

Yes, we can do the booking for you; however, you will have to make the payment to us through a link that will be shared with you. Once we have received the payment, we will make the booking for you. Additionally, you will have to email us on support@proline.co or call on +96176661700 and share the below details to process your hotel booking.

Passport details, email id and contact number of primary guest. Number of guests, name and age of guests, Country, hotel name, hotel category (5*, 4*, 3* etc.), type of room (Deluxe, twin, suite etc.)

Will I have to pay full price of my child for hotel booking?

Charges for child varies from hotel to hotel.

Will I get extra bed for my child?

That depends on the hotel policy and you will have to contact the respective hotel. Certain hotels charge for extra bed/ cribs you will have to bear the extra cost. For more information, you can directly contact the hotel.

Can I cancel or change my dates for a non-refundable hotel booking?

Changing your booking dates for non-refundable booking is not possible. For non-refundable Hotel Booking: Full Amount will be charged.

Where can I read the hotel cancellation policy?

You can read the cancellation policy from the hotel detail page.

How can I be assured if my hotel booking is canceled?

Once you have canceled your booking on proline.co, you will receive an email confirming the cancellation from proline.co. If you do not see the email in your inbox please check your spam/ junk folder. Additionally you will be able to see the cancellation status from your proline.co account.

Are taxes included in the price?

General taxes are included in the price however; any additional taxes by the city or country’s local law or taxes on additional services provided by the hotel shall be paid at the hotel.

What is a non-refundable & free cancellation of the hotel booking?

Non-refundable is that the booking amount will not be refunded if you plan to change or cancel the booking.

Free cancellation means you can cancel the booking and will not be charged any cancellation fees.

Is my booking inclusive of breakfast?

It depends on the hotel and type of room you have booked. You can see if breakfast is included next to the hotel pricing. This information will also be included in the booking confirmation email you will receive from proline.co.

Do I pay any reservation charge to proline.co

No, we do not charge any reservation fees.

How can I check the amenities provided by the hotel?

The amenities can be seen on the respective hotel page under the amenities section.

Flight Booking

Can I use travel vouchers and air miles while booking flights through proline.co?

To claim the vouchers and air miles you will have to book the flights directly from the airlines, as they prefer handling bookings with reward points directly with them.

Can I make flight bookings on behalf of someone else from proline.co?

Yes, you can book flights from your proline.co account for someone else. While booking you will just have to enter his/her, name in the passenger details.

How will I know if my flight booking is confirmed?

While booking flights you will get a confirmation status on your screen. Alternatively, you can login to your proline.co account and view the confirmation status, you will receive an email with the details of the flight and confirmation status.

Are there separate fares for Infant, Child and Companion?

Yes, there are separate fares for Infant, Child, on proline.co. (The airlines, governs the pricing and rules for such fares.)

Can I enter the name of the city instead of the airport code?

Yes, you can enter the city and the search engine will suggest you the airport code for your city.

What should I do if I need to change my flight arrangements?

If you want to change your flight arrangements, you will have to call us at +96176661700. Based on your request, we will guide you regarding the procedure. Alternatively, you can also call to the respective airlines company to make the changes (additional charges may apply by the respective airline and this will be based on the type of change requested by you).

While making the payment for the flight the price had changed, what is the reason for this?

The flight rates on proline.co are on a real-time basis. The changes made by the airlines on airfares immediately reflects on our portal. Hence, sometimes the price you checked may vary while you make the payment.

Can I book my flights now just by paying a small deposit amount?

No, you will have to make the payment in full while booking your flights.

What is the difference between non-stop flight and connecting flight?

Nonstop flight will not stop between departure or arrival destination or at any intermediate airports whereas connecting flight might stop at one or more intermediate airports, though it does not happen usually.

Can I make a flight booking for more than six passengers?

proline.co allows you to make at the max 9 bookings at one time. If your trip involves more than 9 members you will have to send us a request on support@proline.co or call on +96176661700.

Can I book a flight from/ to a different airport?

To book multiple city flights you can choose the “Multicity” option on proline.co. At a time, you can book a flight to up to three routes. For bookings on more than three routes, you can start a fresh booking or contact our travel expert on support@proline.co or call on +96176661700.

Can I cancel or change my flight through proline.co?

Low-cost airlines are usually non-refundable and other full-service airlines allow cancellation online (cancellation penalty may apply which vary from air carrier).

To cancel or change any flight booked with proline.co, you will have to contact our support team on support@proline.co with the booking no. before 24 hours of the scheduled departure of the flight. (*Airline penalty & agency fees may apply)

How will I be informed if my booking has been cancelled?

Once your booking has been cancelled you will receive an email to the registered email address notifying the cancellation. Kindly check your spam/ junk mailbox, if you have not received an email please contact us on support@proline.co. Alternatively, you can check the cancellation status by logging into your proline.co account.

Can I book flights for minors who are not accompanied by any adult?

Flights for unaccompanied minors cannot be booked with proline.co, however, you should contact the airlines for the specific request.

Can I add a passenger to my existing booking?

You cannot add a new passenger to your existing booking, to add a new passenger you will have to make a new booking. (We do not guarantee the same flight rate as booked by you.)

When can I check-in online?

Different airlines have different time duration for online check-in, please check with the airlines or contact proline.co travel agent to inquire.

My name is incorrect on the ticket, how can I get it changed?

Airlines do not allow name change or correction if it is misspelled in the flight ticket. The airline allows minor corrections but not the name change (additional name change charges and also the difference amount for new booking will apply). We take up the correction request and forward it to the airlines and final approval comes from the airlines. To avoid any inconvenience always make sure to enter correct name as mentioned in the passport while booking flights.

Can I transfer my booking?

Airline tickets are non-transferable, in such case you will have to cancel the ticket and make a new booking.

Can I change my airline after booking the flight?

Changing airline is not allowed due to airline restrictions hence, you will have to cancel the existing flight ticket and book a new one.

What should I do if I miss a flight?

Airlines consider such situations as “no show” and no show penalty will apply. Certain airlines permit you to pay the difference and board the next available flight (airline penalty may apply).

If you sense that you may miss the flight make sure you contact the airlines or proline.co at the earliest and make required arrangements.

What should I do if my flight is rescheduled?

Airlines may reschedule the flight due to unavoidable circumstances. In such case, you will be notified by the airlines.

How will I receive my refund?

All refunds will be made to the channels used while booking. Cancellation charges, proline.co agency fees, discount will be deducted from the refund amount. proline.co process the refund within 24 hours of the refund request however, the time for the amount to get credited into your account depends on your bank, this could be anywhere from 4 to 15 days.

Are my debit/ credit card details safe?

All the transactions made with proline.co are secured. Your payment is processed through PCI certified payment gateway which encrypts data and uses secure technology. Moreover, no credit card information is stored on our server and neither we nor our representatives will as for your credit card information through e-mail or phone.

What is agency/ service fee?

In order to facilitate our customers with an access to certain airlines, we charge agency fee/ service fee every time a booking is done.

Is the agency/ service fee refundable?

No, the agency/ service fee is not refundable.

Will I receive a receipt or invoice for booking the flight?

Yes, you will receive a copy of the invoice to your respective email address.

How is the agency/ service fee calculated?

Agency/ service fee is calculated based on a certain percentage of the total booking amount. The agency/ service fee will vary based on the booking amount.

My flight booking has failed, what should I do?

If your booking has failed due to any reason, our travel agent will contact you to confirm the booking offline. We request you not to make any other attempt in such instances as you may be charged twice for the same. This happens rarely and can be resolved in no time.

What is the baggage allowance for my flight?

Baggage policy for each and every airline is different. You will have to check the baggage allowance policy of the particular flight while booking.

If you need extra baggage, please contact the airline.

By when should I be at the airport before my flight?

Check-in varies by airline and the destination however if you are checking-in your baggage;

For international flights – arrive 3 hours before scheduled departure
For domestic flights – arrive 2 hours before scheduled departure
For European flights – arrive 2 hours before scheduled departure

Which documents should I carry when I travel to an international destination?

While traveling to any international destination along with your ticket you should carry your valid passport, Visa copy, transit visa, foreign currency etc.
